Antonietta Collins

Antonietta Toni Gonzalez-Collins is a Mexican-American sportscaster. She works at ESPN as a anchor for SportsCenter and sometimes hosts SportsNation. She began working for ESPN in the year 2016. Her daughter is television journalist Maria Antonieta Collins. Antonietta Collins has been a bilingual since the age of nine years old a useful skill that helped her secure her first job as a production assistant for Univision in Miami that gave her an opportunity to work with producers of national programming like Nuestra Belleza Latina, Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud and Primer Impacto. In the following years her first job, the CBS station of St. Petersburg employed her as a sports reporter. She relocated to Rio Grande Valley in 2009 to work as a reporter on the Spanish stations KNVO TV 48 Univision, and Fox2 News. In reporting on news stories related to illegal immigration as well as drug trafficking along the Texas and Mexico frontier, she worked as a journalist on the Spanish channel KNVO TV 48 Univision as well as Fox2 News. It was not uncommon for her to be anchors for weather and sports. She was then the anchor and reporter on Univision Dallas' Deportes 23. She was then given higher responsibilities. She produced pieces about MLB's ALDS ALCS and World Series the Dallas Cowboys the NBA postseason as well as the Finals FC Dallas and the Dallas Stars. Antonietta Collins was a native of the city of Veracruz, Mexico. She was born on 22nd November on the 22nd of October, 1985, at Mexico City. Her sister is also there. The family in 1992 quit Mexico and moved to Miami. She divorced her parents shortly afterwards and in 1995, she got married to an naval designer by the name of Fabio Fajardo. Fabio Fajardo passed away in 2006 due to kidney cancer. It was during a break in summer that she spent with her sister in Canton Ohio where the older Collins girl got a job. As a senior in high school but having an idea of what she would like to accomplish with her life Antonietta was able to visit at the University of Mount Union to see if it would meet her requirements. The result was that she loved the school and they had the program that she had been looking for. She finished her education and was accepted to the University with a degree in media studies. The relationship she formed was long-lasting with her professor Mark Bergmann who was the supervisor of WRMU 91.1 FM, a station of which she was a member. Professor Mark Bergmann influenced her with his enthusiasm for journalism. The professor also had a profound impact on her.
